How to Use General Purpose Cement (20kg)

Concrete Mix

Use the following ratio for general concrete

1 part cement : 2 -2.5 parts sand : 4 parts aggregate (gravel)

Mix dry ingredients thoroughly.

Add clean water gradually and mix to a workable consistency.

Pour and level the concrete.

Cure by keeping moist for at least 7 days to gain full strength.

Mortar Mix (for laying bricks or blocks)

Mix 1 part cement : 4–5 parts brickie’s sand (add hydrated lime for workability if needed).

Add water to achieve a spreadable, sticky consistency.

Apply with a trowel between brick or block courses.

Setting Posts

Dig the hole.

Mix cement, sand, and gravel (or use premix concrete blend) with water.

Pour around the post and allow to set.
