Aalborg Bricklayers Cement (20kg) is a premium white or off-white blended cement specifically formulated for use in bricklaying and masonry applications. It is a pre-blended product that combines general purpose (GP) cement with workability-enhancing additives such as hydrated lime and plasticisers. Contains no Iron Oxide so it will not discolour when acid washed (however, if the sand used has oxides, discolouration may still occur). 

Meets Australian standards AS 3972

How to Use Aalborg Bricklayers Cement

Mortar Mix Ratio (General Guide)

Mix the cement with brickie’s loam or fine washed sand using a typical ratio:

1 part cement : 4 parts sand

Add clean water gradually until a smooth, workable mortar is achieved.

Application

Spread with a trowel between bricks, blocks, or stones.

Tap materials into place and tool joints for a clean finish.

For clean, visible joints (e.g., face brickwork or decorative walls), the light color offers an attractive contrast or complement.

Curing

Keep damp for the first 24–48 hours, especially in hot or dry conditions.

Avoid direct sun or strong wind during initial curing.
