Basalt Flamed Organic Steppers

Add dramatic, modern character with Basalt Flamed Organic Steppers. Sliced from natural boulders and finished with a flamed (textured) top, these pieces showcase deep charcoal tones and subtle variation. The organic outlines soften straight garden lines, while the flamed surface provides reassuring grip in damp conditions. Ideal for paths through lawn or pebble beds, they bring a bold yet natural presence to contemporary outdoor spaces.

Features & Benefits

  • Genuine basalt with a flamed, slip-friendly surface.
  • Organic shapes for a relaxed, designer look.
  • Permanent colour and consistent 30 mm thickness.
  • Durable and weather-hardy for Australian conditions.
  • Low maintenance—hose down occasionally to refresh.

Applications

  • Informal garden paths and lawn steppers
  • Pebble or gravel infill walkways
  • Transitions between deck, paving and planting
  • Feature steps around seating and fire-pit zones

Installation & Care

  • Install on 50–75 mm compacted base with 20–30 mm bedding sand for levelling and support.
  • Weed-mat is recommended beneath surrounding gravel/pebble areas.
  • Space to suit stride (approx. 450–650 mm centre-to-centre) and maintain a gentle fall for drainage.
  • Rinse periodically; apply a penetrating sealer if additional stain resistance is desired.

Why Choose This Product?

These steppers combine the rugged beauty of basalt with the safety and sophistication of a flamed finish. The result is a confident, contemporary path solution that feels secure underfoot and looks refined year-round—perfect for modern Aussie gardens.
