For best results, remove weeds and debris, prepare the existing ground, spread the underlay evenly, lightly compact or roll it, level the surface, and water thoroughly before or immediately after laying the turf. Turf underlay is generally applied at approximately 50–150 mm, depending on the existing soil and site conditions.
