How to Use Sir Walter Buffalo Grass

Soil Preparation

Remove existing grass, weeds, and debris.

Spread a layer (100–150 mm) of turf underlay or quality loam soil.

Level and lightly compact the area.

Turf Installation

Lay turf slabs or rolls in a brick-like pattern with tightly joined edges.

Water thoroughly and evenly immediately after laying.

Keep the turf consistently moist for the first 2–3 weeks during establishment.

Ongoing Care

Mow to 30–50 mm regularly once established.

Fertilise every 6–8 weeks during spring and summer with a slow-release lawn fertiliser.

Water deeply but less frequently once roots are established (drought-tolerant).
